After the completion of the drying phase, plant stalks with usable biomass are broken off of the main plant stalk and stored in totes where they undergo a cure “on the vine.”
The curing process is the last stage of the drying process, where the final moisture content is released very slowly, and the chlorophyll and starch in the plants break down slowly.
This ensures a higher quality finished product, with a smoother burn and more pronounced flavors in the final product.

Totes are stored in a cool, dark, and dry place, such as our vault or curing room. This is done to prevent light and temperature changes from affecting the curing process.
You can know when a plant is done being cured by checking the moisture level of the buds. They should be dry to the touch and have a slight give when squeezed, but should not feel overly dry or brittle. Additionally, the aroma should be rich and pungent, indicating that the curing process has been successful.
