How to Renew a Medical Marijuana Card in Mississippi
Just like the initial application, renewing your Mississippi medical marijuana card is required annually to maintain legal access to cannabis products from licensed dispensaries. 1. Start Early – It’s important to begin the renewal process at least 30 days before your card expires so you don’t lose access to treatment while waiting for approval.
2. Schedule a Visit With a Registered Practitione – To renew, you’ll need a new certification from a healthcare provider who is registered with the Mississippi Medical Cannabis Program (MMCP). This is the same requirement as your initial application; the practitioner reviews your medical condition to confirm you still qualify for medical cannabis.
